Crystal Cabinet Works is a premier line of custom cabinetry from Minnesota. Each project is designed and made individually to suit traditional or contemporary styling, with frameless, face frame, or flush inset doors. Wood dovetailed drawers with Blumotion full extension under-mounted guides are standard. With hundreds of door styles and color wood stains available, along with distressing elements, glazes, and painted finishes, Crystal also includes a custom color- matching program. Crystal’s extraordinary finishing process, using state-of-the-art sanding machines followed by 3 coats of catalyzed conversion varnish, creates the satin smooth finish that is Crystal’s hallmark. Crystal also offers a “green” option, including formaldehyde-free wheat or rice board boxes. Crystal’s warranty is for your lifetime. Columbia Kitchen Cabinets LTD is a custom frameless line which expanded from British Columbia into northern California in 2003. This line is priced well, while reflecting the same quality as a higher priced cabinet. Columbia’s standard includes an under-mounted drawer guide, unusual flexibility for modifications, and a 10 year warranty. Columbia offers many unique door styles and a full range of woods and stained finishes. They also custom paint the Benjamin Moore and Pratt Lambert color lines.
Neil Kelly Cabinets is a totally “green” line of cabinetry
for those who are environmentally concerned or chemically sensitive. Panel
cores are made of wheat and rice straw, with non-formaldehyde based
binders. All wood is sustainably harvested. Finishes have low to no VOC’s.
Neil Kelly is the nation’s first cabinet manfacturer to receive the
highest rating by the U.S Green Building Council’s “Leadership in Energy
& Envionmental Design” or LEED. They are also a member of the Forest
Stewardship Council (FSC). Some recycled and unusual woods are offered,
i.e.vertical grained fir, hemlock and bamboo as well as inserts of mica,
shoji screen asahi glass, and kirei (grass board). |
Caesarstone, Euro-stone, Zodiaq, Hanstone These stones, manufactured from 93% quartz crystals and 7%polymers, have an appearance of granite or limestone, while being harder than granite, thereby rendering them virtually impervious to etching and staining. They are available in neutral colors, as well as darker grays, greens and browns. No sealer is required. Some can be honed.
Icestone is a concrete based recycled glass product that is one of our more unique products. Offered in a variety of colors, seeing is believing. Spekva is a line of custom laminated “butcher block” wood tops from Denmark. Wood strips are laminated with finger joints eliminating separation. Spekva offers 21 woods, including birch, beech, alder, pine, ash, oak, cherry, walnut and elm, as well as farmed exotic hardwoods: teak, iroko, merbau, mahogany, and bubinga. The finish is a blend of oils that saturates the wood, causing surface water to disperse. Periodic re-oiling is necessary. Mesquite a renewable resource from the American southwest is a new wood offering for butcher block tops. It is available in end grain and extra thick dimensions. Richlite and Paperstone are a mixture of paper and resin, which makes them both extremely hard and durable as a counter. Richlite has been used commercially for some time. Paperstone is certified recycled paper. These products are heat resistant to 350 degrees. They have a matte finish and come in a range of deep colors. |
